Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Solurana LLC ("Solurana", "we", "us") governing your use of the Solurana website and application (the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

License to use the Service

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service and its content solely for your own exam preparation. This is a license, not a sale; we retain all rights not expressly granted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• resell, rent, sublicense, share, or commercially exploit the Service or any content;
• copy, scrape, crawl, harvest, redistribute, publish, or create derivative works from our questions, lessons, flashcards, or explanations;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or the underlying question bank, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
• circumvent access controls, share account credentials, or use the Service to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model on our content;
• upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful material, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.

Purchases, billing, and plans

• Free tier. Selected Insights articles, a daily practice question, and a free timed mock are available at no charge.
• Web purchase. The web "full access" plan is offered as a single payment covering a defined access term (currently 12 months) with no automatic renewal — when the term ends, paid access simply stops unless you choose to buy again. The current price (including any introductory discount) is shown at checkout; a 5-day free trial is available on the Monthly plan.
• Mobile subscriptions. Plans purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by those stores under their terms. Where a plan is a renewing subscription, it renews automatically for the stated period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your store account. Any free-trial terms are disclosed at purchase, and you can cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge.
• Taxes and changes. Prices may exclude applicable taxes. We may change prices or plans prospectively; changes do not affect a term you have already paid for.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Our intellectual property

All content in the Service — questions, lessons, flashcards, explanations, interactive exhibits, text, graphics, the Solurana name and logo, and the software — is owned by Solurana or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The questions and explanations are original works; "CFA-style" describes their format, not their source. You may not use our marks without our prior written permission.

Trademarks and affiliation

Solurana is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to CFA Institute. CFA® and Chartered Financial Analyst® are registered trademarks owned by CFA Institute. CFA Institute does not endorse, promote, or warrant the accuracy or quality of the products and services offered by this site. References to the CFA® Program, exam topics, or the Learning Outcome Statements are for identification and educational purposes only.

No guarantee of results

The Service is a study aid. Passing the CFA® exam depends on many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any examination result, score, or outcome, and nothing in the Service is a promise that you will pass. Any separate written pass guarantee we may offer is governed solely by the terms stated at the point of purchase and in our Refund Policy.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (for example, the app stores, payment processors, and hosting providers) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is complete or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solurana and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or examination results, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Solurana harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Solurana LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction located there.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
